Ceremonies, Cocktail Hour, and Receptions

Ceremonies can be held during the day or night time. Wedding ceremonies can also be held in the gardens or the courtyard of the Main House. Cocktail hour may be held in either of the locations mentioned above or the Main House. The Main House can accommodate up to 100 guests while the East Terrace can accommodate up to 300 guests.Receptions may be held in the courtyard outside of the main house and in the East Terrace as well. However, the amount of people that can be accommodated will differ much like wedding ceremonies. Weddings must end by 11:00pm or a fee of $2,000 must be paid to extend the evening.

In addition, Vizcaya is very selective about catering teams and planners who may be hired for a wedding there. If you’re wanting to hire a specific catering or planning team you won’t be able to do so unless you hire someone from the Approved Vendor List. All of the vendors on the list are approved by the museum and have agreed to abide by the restrictions and rules set by the venue. You can, however, choose your own photography and videography team to capture your day.

Rentals, Decor, and Permits

Vizcaya only offers the location to couples and does not have any in house decor or rentals. For this reason, you are able to contact vendors on their approved list and see what they have to offer. It is also super important to know that in order for vendors to be issued permits to service your wedding day, they must be on Vizcaya’s approved vendor list. Permits are not issued otherwise.

What are the Costs and Fees when Getting Married at Vizcaya?

Equally, Vizcaya has plenty of options for guests who want an intimate wedding or larger celebration. The base rental fee for up to 25 guests is $2,000 for a daytime gardens ceremony. Additional guests are $25 per person (vendors are included in this number). Evening weddings have a base rental fee of $23,000 and supplementary fees that the venue requires depending on the day you choose to get married.
